cyclone EVAN

Severe Tropical Cyclone Evan (RSMC Nadi designation: 04F, JTWC designation: 04P) was the strongest tropical cyclone to ever hit the island nation of Fiji. The first cyclone of the 2012–13 South Pacific cyclone season, Evan developed from a tropical disturbance on December 9 north-northeast of Fiji. The storm moved east and impacted the French islands of Wallis and Futuna before affecting Samoa and American Samoa. On December 16, Evan made a cyclonic loop, turning to the south, and paralleling western areas of Fiji.  (Wikipedia)

  1. Really sorry to see the damage done to your farm, particularly in the light of all the hard work you've put into it. Hope your vanilla, other crops and nursery plants can be salvaged. Worst must be the huge trees that took so many years to grow to their present size, now broken or uprooted. Hope you never have another tropical storm such as this one.
